A Filipino-American Church…
On October 7, 2018, World Communion Sunday, we held our historic first Filipino-American worship service in the Greater Dayton area. There were over 80 people that attended the Spirit-filled worship service held at Fort McKinley Church. Pastor Nitos Dobles preached on Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord,” and Pastor Jon Morgan led the altar call.
On this day was born the First Fil-Am Christian Fellowship of Greater Dayton, which eventually became the First Fil-Am Church of Greater Dayton.
Thanks and praise be to God — who makes all things new!
Since that initial First Fil-Am Christian Fellowship worship service, the teachings, way of life, and models have been based on those emphasized in the Holy Bible.
The foundation of true religion, Scripture is the primary authority and contains the only measure whereby all other truths are tested.
We value the past experiences of the church, of our forefathers from all nations and cultures, as these are a witness of development and growth of an individual’s faith.
“Without reason we cannot understand the essential truths of Scripture”… a reason that is “assisted by the Holy Spirit if we are to understand the mysteries of God.”
The strongest evidence of our being disciples of Jesus Christ is our experience. We trust and are confident in what we believe in not only because scripture says so but because we have personally experienced it.
A PLACE FOR REST AND HEALING…
A PLACE FOR UNITY IN DIVERSITY…
A PLACE TO CELEBRATE GOD’S LOVE…
A PLACE TO WORSHIP, GROW, AND SERVE…
We’re a new church in the Dayton, Ohio area offering blended Filipino-American worship services, where God’s word is preached and communion is served every Sunday.
